Building compliant with GDPR.
We take care of the technology.
The GDPR sets requirements for how you handle personal data.
It starts with legal policy but ends with technology. Cookies, forms, analytics, data storage. All these matters must be technically sound. And since the ACM is actively enforcing, with fines of up to 450,000 euros per violation, 'we'll look at it later' is no longer an option.
Our approach
Cookie management that keeps working
Many websites have a cookie banner, but technically they do not do what is needed. Cookies that are already active before consent, banners that break after a CMS update, or marketing teams that simply continue to collect data in the meantime. This is now going wrong, both technically and legally.
We standardly solve this with CookieHub, or for HubSpot sites with the built-in banner. Cookies only active after consent, clear categories by type, in the visitor's browser language. No custom scripts, no reliance on developers, no surprises during updates.
What we will arrange for you
We do not provide legal advice; that is for a lawyer or privacy consultant. However, we do handle the technical implementation of GDPR requirements. Cookie management and cookie banners that actually work, privacy-friendly analytics setup, forms that only collect data that is necessary, data storage on the right servers in the right regions, and connections with external systems that are GDPR-compliant.
Privacy by design
We build privacy in as standard, not as a checkbox afterwards. Collect as little data as possible, store it as safely as possible, and communicate as transparently as possible with your visitors.
Umbraco Cloud helps with this: hosting in Europe, data that doesn't just end up with third parties, and a platform that is regularly updated.
