What can be done with the website you currently have?
The Platform Scan. You’ll know within five working days.
You know that something needs to happen
A version that is too outdated, a supplier you can no longer progress with, or integrations that no one dares to touch anymore. What you don’t know is what from the existing setup is still usable and what it will cost to bring it up to date.
We will investigate that. We will look at your environment, the code, and the integrations, and then tell you what is possible, which direction we recommend, and the approximate costs involved. Even if the advice is to do nothing for the time being.

This is the right moment if
Your site is running on a version that no one dares to touch anymore
You want to move away from your current provider, but you're unsure about what you can take with you. You're faced with the choice between rebuilding and taking over, and you have no basis to make that decision
There is a quotation that you cannot assess internally
You manage multiple sites and want to know if they can operate in one environment
You need to make a decision this year and you require justification to request a budget
When this is not the right tool
If you are unsure about the underlying issue. If you feel that something is amiss but cannot pinpoint whether it's the system, the process, or the organisation, then a technical scan will be looking in the wrong direction. Mention this in your request, and we will refer you to the appropriate process that addresses this.
What you get
A report containing four items. You are not tied to anything, and the report is written in such a way that another party can continue with it.
-
What you have.
Version, hosting, customisation, integrations and the technical condition of what you currently have, in plain language. -
What is transferable.
Per item whether it can be moved, needs to be rebuilt, or can be discarded. With the reason included, so you can relay it internally. -
A recommendation.
Take over, rebuild, or first investigate further. Not a menu where you have to choose yourself, but a recommendation. -
A bandwidth.
What scale a project falls into, and which factors determine where you land within that range.
What we are looking at
The version you are running and the upgrade path to a current LTS
Where the environment is hosted, and what a move to Umbraco Cloud would entail
The customisation: what will still work and what won't
The integrations and APIs, and if they are transferable
Content volume, number of languages, and number of sites
Security and any outstanding maintenance
Transferability in practical terms: source code, repository, licences, and domain
What we do not do: talk to your organisation. The Platform Scan focuses on the technology and nothing else. If your question is really about what you should be aiming for, then this is not the right tool and we would prefer to state that upfront rather than afterwards.
From application to report in five working days
-
1
You fill in the form
We will call within one working day for a half-hour intake. In that, we will determine whether the scan is the right instrument.
-
2
You arrange access
Reading access to the environment and preferably to the repository. If that is not possible, we will look from the outside.
-
3
We are going for it.
Three days of analysis of versions, customisation, integrations, hosting, security, and transferability.
-
4
You will receive the report.
On day five, with a one-hour briefing in which we review it and answer your questions.
What it costs
€750 exclusive of VAT. Fixed price, fixed lead time, fixed report. If there are delays, that is our problem and not yours. If a process follows with us, we will offset the scan against that.

Why we can carry out this scan
50+ Umbraco Cloud environments that we currently manage
Umbraco Platinum Partner, with a lead developer who has been named MVP multiple years in a row
Six completed migrations, ranging from one week to twelve weeks, from one site to 25 sites
At Adfiz, 5,000 pages were migrated from Umbraco 7 to 17 in twelve weeks, without re-entering a single page. At Landstede Groep, 25 websites were moved to a single environment in four weeks, without rebuilding any. Both projects started with the same question as this scan: what can be done with what is already there?
What people usually ask first
First look, then decide
You don't need to know anything yet or want anything yet. Five working days and a report, and after that, you decide for yourself what to do with it. Even if that’s nothing.
